March for Babies

When you join March for Babies you stand with thousands of people across the country who share your commitment to building a brighter future for us all.
You raise money to expand programs and educate medical professionals to make sure that moms and babies get the best possible care. You advocate for policies that prioritize their health. You fund research to find solutions to the biggest health threats. And you support moms through every stage of the pregnancy journey, even when everything doesn't go according to plan.
Annual C.H.I.P Rubber Duck Race

Intracoastal Waterway at Great Bridge
The Hampton Roads Rubber Duck Race is the primary fundraising event to support the Children's Health Investment Program (CHIP) of South Hampton Roads. CHIP supports children ages 0-6 and their families by assigning nurses and parent educators to follow and guide the child and family toward healthy choices and practices in the child's early development.
In the duck race, numbered ducks are "sold" to participants and dumped together and simultaneously for a quick race in a special track at the Great Bridge Locks. The "owner" of the duck that crosses first will win $10,000!

The Autism Society, Tidewater Virginia is local affiliate of the Autism Society of America, which has over 100 chapters across the United States. Autism Society, Tidewater Virginia serves the Tidewater community and beyond, to include the Peninsula, by promoting autism awareness and providing autism-related education, resources, and services.
April has been designated “National Autism Awareness Month”. In an effort to promote autism awareness within the Tidewater Community, we promote awareness through presentations provided throughout the year to area civic groups, organizations, agencies, and schools
