Buddy Hamblin, Sales Account Executive, celebrated his 20-year tenure with Damuth Trane this month. Previously with Canon Virginia, Buddy came to Damuth in 2000 as a Commercial Service Technician then transitioned into an Account Manager role in 2007. As of 2019, he has been an Account Executive for Damuth Trane’s healthcare clients. In his current position, he is responsible for managing and acquiring new accounts, ensuring that Damuth Trane’s offerings are reflective of the needs and mission of the healthcare client, and identifying methods to improve clinical compliance of mechanical systems in a healthcare environment.
“It has been a great pleasure to work with Buddy and to watch him continue to grow as a HVAC Professional,” remarked David Wilkins, General Sales Manager; “Buddy has a magical balance of a competitive spirit and a compassionate nature that keeps him focused on the needs of his co-workers and our clients; he also pushes him and those around him to high levels of performance. Damuth Trane is very fortunate to have Buddy on our team.”
Throughout his tenure at Damuth Trane, Buddy has received his Universal Refrigerant Certification and LEED AP Credentials in addition to holding a Certified Energy Manager title since 2011. He has also completed ABB DSS Factory Warranty Service Training and Trane Commercial Service Level II Training. On the favorite part of his career, Buddy stated, “My passion revolves around mechanical and electrical systems in a building. Nothing makes me happier than to help someone understand something new about how their building operates or how it could be improved. The smile on their face when they have that ‘lightbulb moment’ is priceless.”
Buddy lives in Toano with his wife and two teenage boys. He also has a son in the Air Force stationed overseas. Being part of the Hampton Roads community is close to Buddy’s heart as he appreciates living amongst the individuals who serve our country in the government and armed forces. On his future plans, Buddy shared: “My heart is with my family. I strive to continue to develop the foundation my sons need to lead a healthy life and be good citizens in the community.”
