Cliff Fuqua P.E., LEED AP, Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineering Team Leader for Damuth Trane is celebrating his 20-year company anniversary this month. Cliff joined Damuth straight out of college. He graduated from Old Dominion University on a Sunday and started with Damuth Trane the following Tuesday. Our strong people values and recommendation of his professor at Old Dominion is what encouraged Cliff to pursue Damuth Trane and the rest is history.
Originally, Cliff started out as a BAS Engineer for Damuth Trane and was promoted to BAS Engineering Team Leader in October of 2021. As an Engineering Team Leader, Cliff serves as a direct report for a team of BAS Designers, Comprehensive Solutions Engineers, Material Specialists and Graphic Specialists, as well as coordinating technical trainings and professional development activities and providing leadership in developing Engineering standards.
When asked about Cliff, Jack McKown, Contracting Solutions Team Leader expressed: “Cliff is a determined leader. His strong work ethic and generosity with his time and talent have made him an influencer in the organization.”
Cliff and his wife, Mandy have two boys – Dawson and Mason and they live in Lynchburg, Virginia. When not at work, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing, and serving as his children’s personal chauffeur for their various social activities. Cliff also has spent the last 9 years as an advocate of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), which means he serves as a sponsor for foster children. Cliff has reflected that “Damuth has always made me feel a part of the team even though I have been remote for many years.” We are thrilled to be the home of Cliff’s career and look forward to many more years with him on Damuth Trane’s team.
