Greg Alvis, Service Technician for Damuth Trane’s Peninsula City Team celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company this month. Greg has been working in the HVAC industry since 1990, coming to Damuth Trane in 1996 after previously working alongside some of Damuth’s technicians while he was employed by Johnson Controls and Sentara Hampton General Hospital. Originally starting out as an Entry Level Technician, Greg quickly moved into his Service Technician role within the first year where he has remained ever since.
Service Technicians at Damuth Trane are responsible for operating, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment, from chilled water systems to computerized building management systems and everything in between. With safety being the top priority for all Damuth Trane’s field technicians, they are required to undergo many safety trainings and ensure proper procedures are being followed while both in and out of the field. Over the past 25 years, Greg has undergone countless training courses and received several certifications to maintain his knowledge and skillset as a Service Technician.

Greg and his wife Karen have been married for over 33 years and reside in Hampton, Virginia. They have three adult children together and two grandchildren. In his free time, Greg enjoys hunting and saltwater fishing, both casually and competitively. When discussing his experience at Damuth Trane, Greg expressed, “This is a company that always strives to take care of their people and they’ve taken care of me very well. I’ve always appreciated the opportunities that they have given me. There isn’t another HVAC Company out there better than Damuth Trane!”
