Scott Kattwinkel, Optimization Engineer for Damuth Trane recently earned a new designation as A Certified Measurement & Verification Professional® (CMVP®) as of November 2022.
Certified Measurement & Verification Professionals are some of the most qualified professionals in the energy industry; they are individuals who manage or perform internationally-recognized methods of quantifying the energy usage impacts of energy management activities. They apply the fundamental concepts of performance and savings verification in a wide range of contexts, including energy savings performance contracts and utility/government incentive programs. A CMVP is equipped to help a company confidently and cost-effectively implement cost-saving activities through clear communication with project partners.*
Becoming a CMVP entails meeting a set of education and work experience criteria, attending required training, and passing a certification exam. An existing Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Virginia, North Carolina and Florida, Scott has now successfully added the CMVP title to his collection of industry-related designations that will help him further assist clients in meeting their building’s energy goals. Roger Shull, Director of Energy Business Development at Damuth Trane said of Scott’s accomplishment: “Scott’s recent CMVP certification reaffirms Damuth Trane’s commitment to provide Professional Energy Services for our clients.”
