Ray Steffens, Peninsula Service Team Leader, is celebrating his 30-year tenure with Damuth Trane. He started with the company in 1989 as a service technician, then transitioned into his current role in 2001 where he has been for the past 18 years.
Ray received his Associates Degree in Heating and Air Conditioning from Danville Community College. He holds a Refrigeration certification and OSHA certifications in both General Industry and Construction Safety & Health. In his role as Service Team Leader, Ray provides customer service to internal and external clients, fulfilling current service agreements and working with Sales to add new service agreements. He leads his area service team by setting team goals to meet customer needs and monitor their performance in safety, budget, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
“We sincerely appreciate Ray’s service to our company for the past 30 years. It is a true testament to his loyalty and dedication to our clients and his fellow team members,” expressed Clint Damuth, President of Damuth Trane. The company held an internal celebration in Ray’s honor on Wednesday, June 5.
Ray has been married to his wife Amy for 29 years and they have a son and a daughter together. In his free time, he enjoys travelling with his wife. On his time with the company, Ray remarks, “When I started 30 years ago, there were only 14 technicians at the time. Over the years, there have been several Damuth associates who have given me knowledge and training to help me become the Team Leader I am today. While there have been changes and growth over the years, the main constant is the Damuth family. That family atmosphere is what makes Damuth a fantastic place to work!”
